Special Interest Groups
Directors of Clinical Skills (DOCS)
Directors of Clinical Skills Education (DOCS) a national consortium of educators and leaders who direct clinical skills education for medical students. Our scope ranges from pre-clerkship through clerkship phases, development of curriculum through assessment, history taking to physical exam, diagnostics through clinical reasoning and creation of patient plans. We are a community of educators and leaders who aim to establish best practices, promote scholarship, and encourage the exchange of ideas across the continuum of clinical skills education. We have a listserv and an annual meeting before the AAMC conference each year. Additionally, we are divided into regional GEAs, have a mentoring program for faculty as well as a number of Special Interest Groups within DOCS given our broad scope. Come to our WGEA DOCS meeting on Saturday!
